The shop I deal with haven't actually got their Brock VC 1:18's in as yet ( Maybe they forgot to Pre-Order - who knows - they've missed a few Pre-Orders lately !!?? ) But I was just looking on ebay and check the "quality" of this diecast >>> Seriously, $250 for this crap = I don't think so.

The section of rear spoiler on the passenger side of the car on the rear guards >> Look at the "quality" fit >> It's got a big hole between the spoiler & guard.

Then I was looking at the fit of the rear guard on the drivers side over the wheel >> again a ( not-so-big ) space ::

Then, the flap on the bootlid ?? it doesn't seem to sit back down properly.

Previous versions of these VC, VH were almost perfect >> I still rate the VH Bathurst ( Brock-Perkins 05 ) winner as one of the nicest I own & it seems rare as it's quite expensive on ebay etc

I saw these cars back when they were racing - So I know what they "should" look like.

There is Just NO quality control with diecasts anymore >>> I AM Hoping now the store I deal with Has actually forgot to pre-order them. I have 2 pre-ordered and I'll be checking mine out before parting with $500.

Smartbeans, I thought you would at least wait until you see the model before you start criticizing it. Consumer Affairs is only there for those who have been ripped off and cant receive any satisfaction ie replacement or refund. This does not apply to a car you have not even bought. The solution is simple, do not buy the the car.

OK, The Subject title might be a bit over the top >>

But, Can't you see the issues with the one posted on ebay ??

IT's not an isolated issue > Yet they still expect $250 for their diecasts ::

You can read my view about their "effort" on the '86 VK Brock Commodore in one of the Posts.

IT's actually really nice that someone has taken the time to reply - I've got 2 other topics on this forum with 210 & 88 Views, yet no-one wants to give their views.

I was starting to think this Forum was dead ::

Another one on ebay with great quality pic's & IT has the same issues ??

Since I haven't received a call as yet >> IT looks like the shop I deal with have "forgotten" this diecast pre-order as well ::

I ordered in several of these models and while I can see what you are talking about I believe that maybe you are being just a touch picky. It is quite possible that this model was produced in a different factory to the 1982 Bathurst winner as the Chinese seem to knock a factory over in a whim. A friend of mine spent two years in China and he says trading for a lot of the model factories over there are quite difficult and certainly do not operate in a way that we would in Australia. Times are changing in Model Cars faster than one can blink please bear in mind the next time you blink the chance to even buy one may be gone forever.
