How can classic carlectable charge $280 for 1978 bathurst winner when it won't be a fully opening model

Some people are willing to pay that for a sealed resin car, I'm not, but I am looking forward to the 1978 Bathurst winner, I've got my order in, don't care that the boot does not open so long as the bonet and doors open.

From memory there is a 1/18 Biante Brock car that the boot doesn't open, only the fuel filler flap.

Will this be released in October as per the website, and is it a sealed resin as this thread alludes to?

They can charge whatever they want, if anyone is silly enough to pay for it is an individuals choice. Personally i'll never buy resin. Luckily I have my Biante one.

Guy's,
This is a diecast model, with opening doors and bonnet, CC doesn't make resin models.

I will be happily parting with my money to own one. The people who pay the current going rate for the Biante version are the people who are crazy. Where do people get the idea Classics do resin models thankfully that has never happened and I will pray to whoever I need to so that its never does happen.

I bought one for a friend to give as a gift to their Dad. The only thing that bugged me about it was the different 05 fonts on the doors. I'd prefer the Biante if I was buying one, but they cost more than the budget I was working with.

The fonts are correct though. That’s the way the car was in real life.

Got this from another forum that shows the different fonts are correct

rose tinted glasses I think, flares are just wrong, I can see why they did not have opening hatch cost saving.but you cannot shut bonnet without wiggling sideways hinges wont last long so wont open again, shape of car is just not right.cheap and nasty.well not so cheap at $299.i am aware that you have to make compromises when making these models but some effort would be good.put it beside biante car and you will see what I mean.
