Very happy to see the HO will be out in a few weeks! And it should be the same quality as the Bowden car, rather than the troubled V8s. First model I will have bought for a LONG time....

I didn't see that show - was his an RPO73? If so, I assume he was yet another trying to claim it had a Phase 4 motor and other bits, a "secret Phase 4". We know what went on the RPO and it wasn't much.

Yeah, I'd go a 1:18 of the hardtop too, but I suspect the real thing will surface long before any model, if ever. Funny how little info there is on the hardtop, and even all those armchair "experts" say it never existed!

Do we know if the black bonnet on this model is correct. The only reason I ask is because the pictures of the real car appear to have a silver bonnet. Interested to know since there is only one production car.

Very interesting. I have read what I can online about the Phase 4, it's an interesting story & the model will make a great addition to my collection. I take it from your comment about of the hardtop that you believe that car exsists?

Do we know any details about the hardtop. Like does it have globe wheels and what colour it is? It'd be a cool car & make a cool model.

There was abit of a mention about it in AMC when they done story on phase4. Mainly done on Bowdens car. Will dig mag out & pretty sure it was red. Id say it would have got globes the same as dentist car. Cheers pk.

Found the AMC with article on phase4 hardtop. The late Howard Marsden said Bib Stillwell put in an order to Keith Horner for phase4 sets to be fitted to a hardtop. The XA hardtops were released August/September 1972. Howard Marsden thought the car was white maybe.. He could mistaken it for Bill Santuccione white XA 4 door testmule ? Bib stillwell said he was sure it was red ? Of interest is fellow called Keith Lea who claimed he bought Paul Carthews XA phase4 works car from Ford in an article in AMC yet Max Mcleod said he brought it from Ford & too much wrong info has been done on phase4 . Cheers pk.
